SASCO’S accomplishments and the strategic vision of Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen

In the economic report of the third quarter of 2019, revenue and profit of Southern Airports Services Joint Stock Company (SASCO) rapidly increased compared to last year. With the accurate business orientation and trend-setting, SASCO has made many remarkable turns compared to the past years when Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen – IPPG’s Chairman was not appointed as the President of SASCO.
In this report, in the third of quarter of 2019, the revenue of SASCO is 681,4 billion VND, increased 12,3% compared to last year. SASCO continues to sustain business efficiency when the quarterly gross profit is 48%, much higher than other businesses in aviation and airline ancillary area.
Since Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen is appointed as the president, SASCO is always acquire outstanding sales. “The king of brands” with aviation business and creatively strategic long-term perspective has lifted SASCO, nominated in the Top 500 largest business in Vietnam and Top 10 Sustainable development businesses in commercial. Regarding this, since Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen became the President of SASCO in April, 2017, the public and investors are more involved. SASCO has firmly grown, becomes the leading of aviation business in Vietnam.

In 2014, before SASCO has been privatize, only 177 billion VND of revenue were made; until 2018, this number has reached 409 billion VND, increased by 2,5 times. With the “asset” of more than 30 years in Vienam’s aviation business, more than 100 worldwide brands from mid-end to high-end in duty-free businesses, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen – SASCO’s Board of members and Board of directors has significantly contributed to the development of SASCO.

Currently, the group of companies related to Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, including IPP Group, ACFC, and DAFC, owns a total of 43.7% SASCO’s stock. Meanwhile, Mr. Hanh's wife, Mrs. Le Hong Thuy Tien has been a member of SASCO's Board of Directors since 2014. She is also the President of IPP Group, a major shareholder of SASCO and the controlling shareholder of SASCO still belongs to ACV.
SASCO is a joint-stock company offering all-round services: duty-free shops, travel retail, F&B, business café/lounge, transport to and from airports, catering. SASCO currently has three major shareholders, namely Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG) and IPPG’s subsidiaries of Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen. Currently, IPPG is one of the leading multi-industry corporations, an exclusive retailer/distributor of over 100 top-world brands, an investor of luxury shopping malls, and an owner of over 1,000 high-end retail stores. Besides that, IPPG one of the investors of Cam Ranh International Terminal and duty-free stores at major airports all over Vietnam. Every year, IPPG pays 1,950 billion VND to the national budget for tax and creates 25,000 jobs.
