In 1985, he was the one who received the task from the Vietnamese leaders at that time, returning to Vietnam from the US to open the first international flight between the Philippines and Vietnam, right at the time when Vietnam was still facing difficulties due to the embargo. Thanks to this flight, shipments of food, medicine... and even remittances were transferred directly from the US to Vietnam, helping the country have more resources for development during the most difficult years. Immediately after that, in the charity auction, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen successfully auctioned 2 items, with a total amount of 60,000 USD, contributing to the Smile Train fund to help smile surgery for unfortunate children.
