IPPG Sponsors to Develop A Project to Enhance Logistics Services in Da Nang City

On October 19, 2021, the signing ceremony of the agreement to sponsor the construction of the project "Development of logistics services in Da Nang City to effectively connect with the Central Key Economic Region and the East-West Economic Corridor in the period 2021-2030, vision to 2045" between the Da Nang City Department of Industry and Trade and Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG) - the sponsor of the project, took place successfully.

Due to the COVID-19 scenario, the signing ceremony of the Agreement on Funding for Project Construction took place virtually from three bridge sites in Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi.

Attending the signing ceremony, there were the participation of Ms. Le Thi Kim Phuong - Director of the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade, Mr. Vu Hoang Long - Deputy General Director of IPPG, and Mr. Pham Hoai Chung - Deputy Director of the Transport Development and Strategy Institute (TDSI) - a project consulting team appointed by the IPPG, along with relevant officials from agencies and units.

Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, Chairman of IPPG, has consistently indicated his desire to work with Da Nang City to research and develop city logistics services that are compatible with the potential, strengths, and requirements for socio-economic growth of the city.

Imex Pan Pacific Group desires to sponsor Da Nang City in order to carry out this project, and has suggested it at a meeting with the Delegation of Da Nang People's Committee on February 26, 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City - related to the promotion of projects investors are interested in in Da Nang. Simultaneously, IPPG commits to guarantee that the project construction finance is implemented in line with the conditions of the agreement signed by the two parties.

On that premise, through exchange and discussion, the Da Nang Department of Industry and Trade and the IPPG decided to sign an Agreement on Funding for Project Construction, which clearly defines the agreements pertaining to each project party's duties and project product requirements for execution.

As part of the signing ceremony, the IPPG side presided over the negotiation of the Project Construction Consultancy Service Contract between the IPPG sponsor, the TDSI consultant, and the Department of Industry and Trade. As a result, the parties reached an agreement and signed a Principle Contract to build the project. Mr. Pham Hoai Chung - Deputy Director of TDSI - emphasized his resolve and efforts on behalf of the consulting unit to create the project to satisfy the needs of advancement and content quality according to the theme. The project outline has been approved by the City People's Committee.

This project raises a lot of expectations for Da Nang's logistics service industry to find the best growth model and solution to capitalize on Da Nang's advantageous geographical location as the entrance to the East-West Economic Corridor and the core of the Central Key Economic Region, while also improving connections to make Da Nang a major logistics hub in the area.
