On December 28, the program "The Sea Calls Homeland" - aiming to connect the children of Khanh Hoa - was held at Hoa Binh Theater. The program's goal is to raise funds to support poor, studious students and those in difficult circumstances in their hometown.

The event was attended by leaders of Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa Province such as Mr. Phan Van Mai (Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee), Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh (Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee), Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan (Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee), along with many businessmen and guests.

During the program, businessman Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, a son born in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, donated a total of 4.79 billion VND. In particular, he spent 1.79 billion VND to auction items from agarwood roots and another 3 billion VND to support the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa Province to help people. He expressed: "I am a son who is grateful to Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa. Even though I travel around the world, I always remember my homeland and my people.”

He also shared about his volunteer journey that started in his youth, when he often went to Khanh Hoa Hospital to help patients in need of hospital fees. That heart has followed him throughout his journey as a businessman, and even at the age of 73, he is still actively participating in social activities, handing over the business to his wife, IPPG CEO Le Hong Thuy Tien, so that he can have more time for charity.

In response to Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen's sincerity, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai thanked him and suggested continuing to auction agarwood items to raise maximum funds to help students in difficulty.

On his journey of development and contribution to the prosperity of the country, Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen has affirmed that he is not only a successful businessman but also a patriot and a person with high responsibility towards society. His spirit of innovation, creativity and responsibility to the community is a shining example for the young generation of Vietnam to learn from and follow.
