IPPG Sponsors 30 Billion VND for Training AI

Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG) has sponsored 30 billion VND for Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City to train students in artificial intelligence and robotics.

The program is implemented at Information Technology Park (ITP) - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, with the aim of organizing training and researching AI - Robotics, contributing to improving the construction and development of AI & Robotics ecosystem in HCM city.

The sponsorship contract signing ceremony took place on the morning of October 12 with the participation of representatives of Imex Pan Pacific Group and Export Co., Ltd. and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. IPPG's AI is under the IPPG Tech department, which is in charge of Mr. Hieu Nguyen (the rightmost position). 

The funding package includes embellishment funding, upgrade facilities, organization, management and operation of AI – Robotics Center (AIC), curriculum funding, education program and all necessary equipment to install AI - Robotics at Block 86 such as AI robots, computer programming learning kits, laptops, tablets, electronic screens, etc.

Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and ITP member units will renovate the entire Block 86 area and the 3,000 m2 campus to prepare the facilities for program implementation, ensuring safety, aesthetics and modernity. With the exhibition area of ​​AI - Robotics solutions of 200 m2, conference room with a capacity of 250 people, classrooms, international standard labs, etc. ready to welcome students, technology enthusiasts and businesses coming to the AIC.

Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen, Chairman of IPPG, spoke about the scale of cooperation with the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City during the signing session on October 12.

The curriculum to teach AI at AIC of IPPG is franchised from UBTECH USA Company. This set of books has been highly appreciated by experts and leading professors at consulting research centers and universities which offer AI courses in the US, Australia, South Korea and Canada for the content and method approach.

Vietnamese version of the Vietnameseization book series by a team of leading professors and lecturers specialized in the field of AI in Vietnam. The Council of Professors and Publishers of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City is appraising and censoring the publication of the book series; expected to be completed and widely released, and will be taught at AIC in January 2021.

After the opening, AIC is expected to be the venue for international seminars for AI experts; workshops to popularize knowledge open to the community; courses for university students and students from grades 1 to 12; training courses for trainers and teachers.

In addition, AIC is also the place where the AI ​​- Robotics research activities and training program development of experts take place; display and introduce AI solutions for businesses; learning, knowledge exchanges, friendly competitions ... of the enthusiasts of advanced technology and AI robots.

After the first AIC’s successful opening, IPPG’s plan over the next two years is to invest in opening 10 more centers of similar size and about 50 AI minilab rooms nationwide.

In addition to being the venue for exhibitions and seminars, the AIC Center also displays many robot models, artificial intelligence products ... for students and technology enthusiasts to enjoy.
