Cam Ranh International Terminal’s productive operation in the first 5 months of 2019

In the first 5 months of 2019, Cam Ranh International Terminal has welcomed 4 new air routes and 2 new countries.
Officially going into operation in June 30th 2018, Cam Ranh International Terminal with an impressive design and modern facilities has been connecting international tourists to Khanh Hoa province. Initiated in September 2016, Cam Ranh International Terminal has been one of the biggest project of IPPG and partners with total investment capital of 3,735 billion VND. This will increase the airport’s passenger handling capacity to 8 million passengers a year by 2030, and 4000 passengers at rush hours.
In the first 5 months of 2019, Cam Ranh International Terminal has welcomed 4 new air routes and 2 new countries successfully added to the destination list. Up to now, around 650 air flights and over 80 airlines are in operation weekly at Cam Ranh International Terminal.
1. Cam Ranh - Bangkok (BKK): Bangkok Airways & Thai Air Asia
The new air route from Cam Ranh to Bangkok (Thailand) officially started from the beginning of 2019, operated by Bangkok Airways (since January 25th, 2019) and Thai AirAsia (since May 1st, 2019).
Thai AirAsia will connect Cam Ranh International Terminal to Don Muang airport while Bangkok Airlines lands at Suvarnabhum. Both are located in Bangkok, which offers diversity for tourists’ choice.
2. Cam Ranh - Incheon (ICN): Eastar Jet & T’Way Air
As demand between Korea and Vietnam, especially to Nha Trang, increases significantly, Cam Ranh International Terminal has collaborated with Eastar Jet and T’Way Air to launch direct flights to Incheon (South Korea) in February. This has led to better service for the coming vacation season and offered variety of choices for tourists when it comes to choosing airlines.
3. Cam Ranh - Taipei (TPE): Vietjet Air
Since the beginning of March, Taipei has been successfully added to the destination list of Cam Ranh International Terminal when Vietjet Air launched the first flight to this city. Taiwan makes the second new country link for Cam Ranh Airport in the first 5 months of this year, after the introduction of direct flights to Thailand. This new air service connects Taipei, one of Asia-Pacific's fastest growing region with an attractive blend of Western and Eastern cultures, a vast variety of eclectic cuisines, and a shopping paradise would attract many tourists. On the other hand, Cam Ranh and Nha Trang offer that year-round warm-weather dream vacation for Taiwanese and holiday-makers alike.
4. Cam Ranh – Daegu (TAE): T’way Air
This service from Daegu is the airline's second scheduled service to Nha Trang, Vietnam. The first flight from Daegu commences on May 3rd 2019, which offers the communities of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang a second gateway into Korea, with its new service connecting Daegu and Nha Trang and allows for our local travelers to explore more Korean cities, other than just Seoul and Incheon. For our guests from the city of Daegu, this new service provides the most convenient direct flight to the sun, sand and seas of Cam Ranh and Nha Trang.
To be summarize, Cam Ranh International Terminal has made a productive performance in the first 5 months of 2019. With the purpose to leverage Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province, Cam Ranh International Terminal is constantly searching and expanding more destinations and air routes. This is not only for promote Vietnamese tourism to the World but also offering various choice of passengers.
