IPPG Chairman calls upon Vietnamese expatriates to invest in business in Vietnam at Xuan Que Huong 2019 (Spring in Homeland 2019)

In January 26th, 2019 at Government Office, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met 100 outstanding overseas Vietnamese peple who represented 4.5 million overseas Vietnamese people living in different countries over the world at Xuan Que Huong 2019 (Spring in Homeland 2019), organized by Overseas Vietnamese Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A lot of overseas Vietnamese people at the event proposed practical offers to express their love for Vietnam – their beloved homeland.

Mr. Johnathan Hanh Nguyen – IPPG Chairman who was one of the first overseas Vietnamese people to come back to Vietnam and invested in his homeland, now has been very successful. He made a speech, considering that the investment of overseas Vietnamese people in doing business in homeland is still limited, only 3 billion USD. Thus, he suggested to establish a fund of overseas Vietnamese to invest in doing business in Vietnam.

He also called upon overseas Vietnamese living around the World to come back and invest to Vietnam as the government now focuses on innovation effectively. IPPG Chairman believed that 1 billion USD of investment to Vietnam could bring 5 billion USD.
Speaking at at the event, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his delight to meet outstanding overseas Vietnamese and his best wishes to 4.5 million overseas Vietnamese people living around the World upon the coming Lunar New Year. He stated that the government always cared for overseas Vietnamese and they are an inseparable part of the nation.

 

Prime Minister highly valued everyone who contributed devoted ideas for the country’s development as well as wishing to hear more ideas from them through different channels since the leaders of Vietnam’s government always look forward to receiving more constructive conceptions from any citizen. 
He also hoped that more and more oversea Vietnamese investors would come back and start building business in Vietnam, especially when Vietnam has joined 12 Free Trade Agreements of which included CPTPP and the upcoming Vietname – EU. This is not only a chance for not only Vietnam but also for all the markets that Vietnam join upon signing the Free Trade Agreements.
